Phase I of the Project includes detailed inspection and full assessment of the structures, Phase II includes the preparation of engineering and tender documents and cost estimates of the required repair works, and Phase III include the site supervision and construction management of the repair works.

Structural inspection of 15 nos. of Highway bridges is carried out to determine the cause and extent of structural deterioration for the purpose of assessing structural integrity. They form the basis for necessary remedial measures and strengthening works. They also serve a major role in ensuring public safety, compliance with Public Works Authority regulations, and provide accurate and adequate information needed for managing bridges as critical infrastructure assets.
