Project Description:

Throughout its history, Qatar has been known as a land of easygoing people and thriving enterprises. This once idyllic pearling and fishing land, characterized by its laidback nature has now become a haven for achievers, skilled professionals, artisans, trade smiths of every constructive ilk, and business trailblazers from the four corners of the world. ‘Easy going’ is no longer an apt description of this nation’s pace of growth. The superlatives today, are rather: high speed, vibrant, dynamic, and burgeoning. An indelible mark in the global economic landscape is being made by Qatar and the eyes of the world are on this nation.

Marking economic growth is a demand for housing. As Qatar’s numbers begin to grow demand is far outweighing supply. The population of the country is significantly attracting well-paid professional expatriates, who are sophisticated and exacting in their demands and tastes. A large segment of the expatriate population looking for accommodation fall into the mid-range income category and appropriately designed and thoughtfully planned housing solutions for this group are few and far between. This has resulted in a phenomenal increase in demand for rental accommodation and the corresponding rental yields.

BARWA Housing exemplifies the private sector's responsibility towards the entire Qatari community, by providing high-quality but affordable housing. Masaken Al Mesaimeer and Masaken Al Sailiya is two projects comprising 62 residential buildings with almost 2,000 residential units. Barwa doesn’t view constructions as mere buildings but rather as living spaces that house people; individuals, families, children. We are driven by people’s needs. Fuelled by their dreams. Inspired by the challenge of providing creative, affordable, appropriate solutions to this very basic human right. The right to have a home!
