Project Description:

The Racing and Equestrian Club (REC) was established in 1975. Under the kind patronage of His Highness the Emir and His Highness the Heir Apparent, more and more attention is paid to the equestrian sport. The number of equestrian related facilities and arenas have been on the increase and these facilities meet the
high standards of their international counterparts.

 

Located in New Al Rayyan, Doha, the Qatar Racing and Equestrian Club's mission is to further, develop Purebred Arabian and Thoroughbred horse racing and Arabian horse shows in Qatar and to encourage horse owners
to acquire the best horses and to improve horse breeding.

 

Thanks to state-of-the-art facilities, REC is one of the most enviable horse training centres in the world. Facilities consist of both a sand and turf track where racing events take place. There are show arenas, where horse shows and national championships are held as well as grandstands for spectators. The stables have been equipped with all that is necessary for horse care. Professional veterinarians have been appointed to ensure that horses receive
the best veterinary care.

 

The Racing & Equestrian Club’s (REC) magnificent luxurious Grandstand has top-class facilities making race viewing a great experience. The spectator seating capacity is 1,400. Luxurious corporate boxes with full
service, including catering, are available.
