Project Description:

Lead Designer and Supervising Engineer Services for the Design, Construction, and Decanting Works
for the Qatar Aeronautical College Relocation to Doha International Airport Site.

 

The Higher Authority in the State of Qatar has requested that the implementation of the physical
infrastructure plan required for the Qatar National Vision 2030 be completed in time for 2018, well
before the 2022 World Cup event. As part of this infrastructure plan there will be a requirement to relocate the existing Qatar Aeronautical College facility due to the current site being required by ASHGHAL and the Qatar Rail. Qatar Aeronautical College is already in the process of procuring a new build education facility to replace the current campus and this will be situated within Al Khor.

 

The predicted completion of the New Build QAC the facility in Al Khor is July 2020, there is a requirement
to provide a temporary facility to allow for the current QAC educational requirements and their growth
requirements up to 2020.

 

The definition of the project is to design, build, and decant into a temporary facility at Doha International
Airport. To provide an interim solution for the accommodation of the QAC until the new build college is ready at Al Khor. The result of this project will be a purpose and well-managed modern temporary Aeronautical College capable of handling the College’s curricular and residential requirements up to 2020or until the new build college is ready.
