Project Description:

An embassy is a unique patch of the sovereign territory allocated to a foreign country and has traditionally been a site for diplomacy; a doorway to a foreign state. More than a diplomatic outpost, the new Qatar Embassy is a cultural symbol of a people and their lifestyle. It leverages the power of architecture to convey a message in a way that spoken and written words can't. The transparency of the architecture allows a symbolic and literal view into the building, while the solid base and west facade harmonize with the historic character of the area, and present a formal face to the host nation.

Responding to the building’s diplomatic role, the project has created a space that is both welcoming and respectful of local traditions. To mitigate its scale, and create a light aesthetic, the complex was broken based on functional requirements. Simple architectural geometries, coupled with gardens and courtyards.

Qatar Embassy and Ambassador’s Residence located in Algeria breathe an atmosphere of traditional splendid Qatari design and modern construction skills with a finishing touch to the embassy’s authentic style.
